Conceived by world-renowned New Zealand chef Peter Gordon, featuring Andrew Lister’s award winning interior. Bellota is a modern twist on the authentic tapas bar experience.

The identity took inspiration from the Spanish way of life: customs, rituals, countryside, food and flavours. Spanish tiles were a starting point for infusing the design with vibrancy.



Tiling becomes a metaphor for the concept of tapas dining - the bigger piece being made up of a mosaic of smaller pieces. Wooden elements create a raw, earthy experience.


The scooter is a romantic association with the Mediterranean lifestyle and promotes the venue about town.
